In and around Oxford

how will i get around

Oxford is ideally placed – it’s near London, Heathrow airport is easily reachable and it’s well connected to major cities across the UK.

Public transport

Our main campus at City of Oxford College is just a 10 minute walk from the train station. Central London is less than one hour away, and trains are very common. Connections are available to every other major city and town.

Oxford has a large bus network with stops in the town centre and throughout the region. Regular bus services stop in the city centre, just a short walk from our campus.

A 24-hour express bus service to Heathrow airport runs every 20 minutes (at peak times). Services are also available to Stanstead, Luton, Gatwick and other airports.

Express buses to London make the most of bus lanes to avoid traffic and are also very popular.

Oxford is one of the cycling capitals of England. There are a large number of cycle lanes, bike racks and bikes for hire if you plan to cycle to College. The routes link together through the town centre and form a network covering the main areas of the region.
