Brickwork Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship

This programme is for if you have completed the intermediate-level apprenticeship in brickwork. It's an advanced-level programme which furthers your knowledge so you can progress in your career.

What do I learn?
The elements of the advanced brickwork apprenticeship programme are:
• Brickwork Diploma Level 3
• Brickwork NVQ Diploma Level 3
• Functional skills in English and Maths Level 2
• Employment Rights and Responsibilities

You spend 1 day a week in college participating in classroom and practical-based sessions. The other 4 days are spent working in the workplace putting what you learn.

All aspects of training are carried out in college. These are taught both in the classroom and the workshops. You will then take the skills you have learnt at college out to the workplace and will be expected to bring in work based evidence and build a portfolio with the evidence you have collected in the workplace.

An assessor will visit your work place to observe your working practices. All functional skills will be delivered at college within your day release.
What do I gain?
You build the more detailed knowledge you need to carry out more brickwork tasks. You gain an insight into the profession and the future career pathways open to you, and a recognised qualification with vital industry experience.
What do I need?
To apply, you need to have completed your intermediate-level apprenticeship in brickwork, or have worked in the industry for some time.
What do I gain?
Upon application you will be invited in for an interview and an initial assessment to make sure that the course is right for you.

There are no other restrictions to becoming an apprentice except that you need to be over the age of 16 and to have been settled in the UK for at least the past three years.
