Business Administration Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship

This Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Administration gives you a broad base of knowledge and experience to prepare you for working within the business sector.

You could cover roles that involve organising resources and people, including executive assistants, secretaries, office supervisors, administration assistants, data entry clerks and office juniors.

What do I learn?
You learn the theory of business administration and gain the practical skills and experience necessary to progress in this sector or related areas.

The elements of the course are:
• NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration
• Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration
• functional skills, in Maths, English and ICT
• employment rights and responsibilities

This is a work-based qualification so an assessor will visit your workplace to observe your working practices every four to six weeks.

All functional skills are taught and assessed through online training.

You will build up a portfolio of evidence, and gather observations from your assessor and online communication.
What do I gain?
You build the basic knowledge required to carry out many business administration tasks and you gain an insight into the profession and the future careers open to you.
What do I need?
There are no entry requirements for this course.

Upon application you will be invited in for an interview and an initial assessment to make sure that the course is right for you. There are no other restrictions to becoming an apprentice except that you need to be over the age of 16 and to have been settled in the UK for at least the past three years.
What do I gain?
On successful completion of the programme you could progress to the Business Administration Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. This can be a stepping stone to a university course.

Potential job roles after your apprenticeship include junior secretary, PA and clerical assistant.
What else do I need to know?
This qualification provides you with excellent transferable skills – you could be working anywhere, from a hospital to a law firm to running an office.

Administration roles are a great way to further your career and can lead to future management roles.
