Domestic Gas DAH1 assessment only

Domestic Gas DAH1 is for gas operatives who hold ACS competency in CCN1, require no training, and wish to add or renew their competency in DAH1 (cookers).

It can also be taken by qualified plumbing operatives (NVQ Level 2 or above) who have gathered a portfolio of on-site gas training, have undertaken adequate theory training, are gaining competency for the first time in CCN1, and who want to add DAH1 to their qualifications.

What do I learn?
You are assessed on your general knowledge/skill of the Gas Safety Regulations procedures and British Standards, which must be applied when carrying out work on gas installations.

The training gives you skills and understanding relating to the installation, exchange, disconnection, service and repair of domestic warm air units. For those taking this qualification for the first time, a multiple choice theory exam together with a practical assessment will be undertaken.

If you are renewing, you will only carry out the practical assessment.

You are assessed on the following areas of of domestic warm air units:
• installation
• commissioning
• servicing
• maintenance repair
• fault finding
What do I gain?
On successful completion you gain DAH1 Accreditation which, if you are Gas safe registered, allows you to work on domestic warm air units.
What do I need?
You will need to already hold ACS competency in CCN1 with less than 6 months before renewal is due, or an NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent together with an on site gas training portfolio and adequate theory training.

If re-assessing then you must provide evidence - before assessment - in the form of past certificate in the following:

CCN1 Core Domestic Gas Safety certificate and/or DAH1
