Domestic Gas Safety CCN1 assessment only

Domestic Gas Safety CCN1 is for gas operatives who hold ACS competency in CCN1, require no training and wish to renew their competency.

It's also for qualified plumbing operatives (minimum NVQ Level 2) who have gathered a portfolio of on-site gas training, have adequate theory training, and wish to gain competency for the first time.

What do I learn?
This course allows you to be assessed on your general knowledge/skill of the Gas Safety Regulations procedures and British Standards, which must be applied when carrying out work on gas installations. You are assessed on the following topics:
• installation of pipework and fittings
• emergency procedures
• unsafe situations
• flueing standards and testing
• tightness testing
• re-establishing gas supplies
• operation and checking of safety devices and controls
• ventilation
• checking and setting appliance burner pressures and gas rates

This course is delivered over two days, both in the classroom and in the workshop, by a skilled assessor. The assessment process will consist of three theory multiple choice assessment papers if you are a first-time applicant, or two papers if you are renewing together with a practical assessment.
What do I gain?
On successful completion, you gain CCN1 Accreditation. It also allows you to apply for Gas Safe registration
What do I need?
You need to hold ACS competency in CCN1 with less than 6 months before renewal is due, or an NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent, together with an on-site gas training portfolio and adequate theory training.
What do I gain?
With CCN1 Accreditation you can apply for Gas Safe registration.
