Engineering Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship

This programme is ideally suited for those individuals that are just starting employment within the engineering industry.

What do I learn?
Oxpens Campus is able to offer either Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical pathways within the framework of qualifications needed for this programme. Optional additional units in the NVQ 2 are also available if the employer so requires at an additional cost. The elements of the course are:- NVQ L2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations)- Level 2 Industrial Awareness- Functional Skills in English Level 1 and Maths Level 1- Employment Rights and Responsibilities

The NVQ Level 2 and Level 2 Industrial Awareness are delivered in one year along with functional skills as required. The IEQ is completed with a multiple choice test taken on line within the college environment.
What do I gain?
You will gain practical skills and improve your hand skills while undertaking the PEO. The IEA Level 2 will enhance your skills in communication, health and safety, working with others and understanding how to work effectively. Also incorporated, is the Employment Rights and Responsibilities, which looks at legislation and the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees.
What do I need?
GCSE Maths and English D grade or below is required, or successful completion of secondary education. Employment in an engineering environment is also required.
What do I gain?
Upon successful completion you will be considered for progressing on to the Advanced Apprenticeship subject to eligibility.
