Fire Safety: FAA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF)

If you want to develop your basic fire safety awareness so that you can manage fire risk and undertake more specific fire safety roles at work/in the workplace (e.g. as a fire warden, marshal or steward), this training course and fire safety qualification will help you.

It’s a Level 2 course delivered by City of Oxford College at the Blackbird Leys campus.

What do I learn?
Course contents:
• hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
• how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
• the role of the nominated fire warden
• principles and practice of fire safety management at work

Teaching and learning methods include workbook quizzes and tests, group work and powerpoint presentations.

Assessment is by paper test.
What do I gain?
You gain skills in fire safety and managing fire risk.

The qualification you gain is the FAA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (QCF): Fire Safety Principles
What do I need?
To do this course you need:
• a good level of English literacy and language
• good verbal and written communication skills

You will need a notepad and pen on the day as well.
