Football and Coaching Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship
The Oxford Football Partnership is proud to offer apprenticeships in both coaching and football to students aged 16-18. The Level 2 Football Apprenticeship Scheme is a one year programme aimed at young players who have aspirations to play in the top end of non- league football or even league football but who also appreciate the value of their academic studies. The Coaching Apprenticeship is also a one year course perfect for students looking to gain hands on experience in the coaching industry with a view to developing a career in the sports industry.
What do I learn?
• BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport • 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
• 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
• Emergency Aid Workshop
• Child Protection Workshop
• NVQ Level 2 in Coaching Teaching and Instructing
Content is covered through practical participation on the coaching field supplemented by classroom delivery. Group work and Portfolio building is a regular activity throughout the programme linking your Practical Participation to the Theory.
What do I gain?
You will develop self confidence teamwork organisation skills and will be expected to demonstrate an ability to manage your time effectively and be responsible for the Football Club environment in which you are based. You will also develop your ability to produce professional documents such as letters and reports and to deliver presentations. What do I need?
You will normally have one of the following: 2 GCSE’s at grade D or above preferably including English or Maths. Level 1 in related subject Appropriate professional experience. What do I gain?
Football Apprentices will maximise their potential with coaching from Ex-Professional Footballers and UEFA A-Licence Coaches and hopefully move up the ranks of professional football. Coaching Apprentices will be in an ideal position to find full time employment within Premier Sports Group or as a professional within the Sports Industry. Both these courses open up the potential for further learning at University at which point students will have the opportunity to go into teaching roles. Course code : |
