Introduction to Woodwork Skills

The course is run in 5 week sessions throughout the academic year on Tuesday evenings between 6.30 and 9pm.The course will focus on developing skills in the use of hand tools in the production of projects that you can take away.

What do I learn?

What do I gain?
You learn the basic woodworking skills and gradually build up practical knowledge and confidence through workshop practice.
What do I need?
You just need to be interested in making work in wood.

Re-enrol for further terms of this course to gain more experience, or you might want to progress to the Developing Woodwork Skills course to develop your skills further.
What else do I need to know?
The course takes place in fully-equipped workshops in the Rycotewood Furniture Centre, basic materials are provided but more complex projects may incur an additional charge.
