Photovoltaic Systems - Inspection and Maintenance (assessment only)

This solar photovoltaic (PV) course is for experienced PV installers who have achieved competency in an NOS-mapped course for PV installation require QCF accreditation in order to service and maintain solar PV systems and do not require any training. It is assessment only.

What do I learn?
This course is assessment-based only. It covers the inspection servicing and maintenance of PV systems to the new QCF framework qualification.

This course is assessed in the classroom and in the workshop by a skilled tutor. The assessment consists of an online multiple choice exam paper based exam and practical assessment in the workshop.
What do I gain?
A training manual which accompanies the course will be sent out to you 3-4 weeks prior to attendance and you will be expected to self study in preparation for the assessments. This PV course and certificate are recognised by all the current Microgeneration Certification Schemes as meeting the requirement for appropriate training in the solar thermal technology. Successful completion of the training and assessment will provide training evidence for suitably qualified individuals to include with their application for registration on a Microgeneration Certification Scheme that allows self-certification and notification to Building Control Departments of work completed
What do I need?
Candidates must have successfully completed a QCF Solar PV installer course prior to attendance.
What do I gain?
This course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and Credit Framework. Also this training has been mapped to National Occupational Standards which means you are receiving the most beneficial and industry-relevant training possible. Upon completion of this course you can then progress to a level 3 award in other environmental technologies.
