Photovoltaic Systems - Inspection and Maintenance (full course)

This photovoltaic (PV) course is for experienced PV installers. If you have achieved competency in an NOS-mapped course for PV installation, need QCF accreditation in solar PV systems and require full revision and training, this course is for you.

What do I learn?
You cover the inspection, servicing and maintenance of solar PV systems in accordance with the new QCF framework qualification.

A training manual which accompanies the course will be sent out to you 3-4 weeks prior to attendance and you will be expected to self study in preparation for the assessments. This course consists of 1.5 days of revision both in the classroom and practical training in the workshop by a skilled tutor and is assessed in the classroom and in the workshop for the remainder of the course. The assessment consists of an online multiple choice exam paper based exam and practical assessments.
What do I gain?
This certificate is recognised by the current Microgeneration Certification Schemes as meeting the requirement for appropriate training in the solar thermal technology. Successful completion of the training and assessment will provide training evidence for suitably qualified individuals to suppoprt their application to register on a Microgeneration Certification Scheme that allows self-certification. It also acts as notification to Building Control Departments of work completed.
What do I need?
You need to have successfully completed a QCF Solar PV installer course prior to attendance.
What do I gain?
This course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The training has been mapped to National Occupational Standards which means you are receiving the most beneficial and industry-relevant training possible. Upon completion of this course you can then progress to Level 3 awards in other environmental technologies.
